Art Adventures: Animals and Nature

Imaginations soar as campers explore a wide variety of art techniques and mediums including pastels, tempera paint, watercolor, clay and more. Mornings focus on guided drawing, painting and the exploration of lines and patterns in animals and nature. Afternoons include three-dimensional art, collage, keepsake crafts and more. Throughout the week, campers also learn about various master artists, as well as immerse themselves in storybook art inspired by the authors and illustrators of famous children’s books. With the natural world as our backdrop and our imaginations as our guide, the creative possibilities are endless! Each camper will also receive a personal sketchbook.

This great introduction to programming utilizes the new and improved version of Scratch®. Learn the basics of game design and character animation in a well-structured and easy-to-learn environment, and reimagine classic arcade games, such as Tetris and Flappy Bird.

Learn introductory skills in HTML and CSS while exploring basic concepts in JavaScript while creating a personal web-page, blog, quiz game and more digital artifacts. These projects will teach the basics of web design along with critical digital skills like design thinking, prototyping and digital citizenship.
