Calling all inventors! This week in CGI, campers in Invention by Design are experiencing invention design first hand. They are using their brains and working in teams to build creations of their own.

Campers will spend the week learning about famous inventors, life-changing inventions, Rube Goldberg devices and more. They started off the week discussing what an invention actually is and they each talked about their favorite invention of all time. The conversation led to campers realizing that everything around us was once a creative invention! Today they started building inventions out of cardboard. One group made and truck while another designed underground houses.

Over the course of the week, they will get to design, engineer, and refine prototypes of the world’s next great invention, which will be featured at the ESF Invention Convention for family and friends. We can’t wait to see what the campers create!
