Teen Travel enjoyed an amazing day at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. The adventure began with an introduction to raptors, migration and Sanctuary history. Campers were then treated to a live raptor presentation where they met “Miss David” the Screech owl – quite a beautiful gal.

With compasses in hand, we then hiked the Sanctuary trails, explored Appalachian flora and fauna, and searched for raptors.

After our ascent to “North  Lookout,” we enjoyed a picnic lunch on what seemed to be “the top of the world!”
