Campers in sports broadcasting are starting to sound like real sideline reporters. Through hands-on experience during several field trips such as the Phillies Press Box Tour and the Temple University studio experience, campers have practiced interviewing skills and did some script writing as well. These rookie broadcasters are ESPN-bound!
Today campers headed outside to cover the ESF Sports Camp red vs. blue game. The game was very intense and the broadcasters paid attention to every detail. From the type of pitch to the status of the game, they made sure the audience knew everything. One camper filmed while another narrated and then rotated so each person could practice different skills. In the afternoon, parents were invited to a Broadcasting Expo so campers could show off all their awesome work!
