Welcome to the Robot Carnival!

Robots1Campers participating in the Robotics 101 course as a part of the Center for Growth and Innovation (CGI) program showed off their completed projects in a carnival-style presentation this afternoon. Throughout the week, each camper learned how to build and manipulate small motor-powered robots and create particular bots that could carry out various tasks. Some robots moved in specific patterns and made sounds, while others acted as motor vehicles and picked up or put down objects.

Once campers learned how to manipulate the bots, they went on to create their own robot that could be used in a popular carnival game of their choice. This afternoon, campers invited family and friends to ESF Episcopal to participate in their Robot Carnival, and play games like The Claw Machine, Plinko, and FIFA World Cup. Each game was powered by a different robot – family members got tickets from a Ticket Booth robot to participate!
