Everyone knows how exciting roller coasters are. This week in Roller Coaster Design: The Science & Engineering of Thrill Rides, campers have explored the exciting process of designing their own coasters!
Throughout the week, they get the chance to use computer programs and real life models to engineer these thrilling rides. At the beginning of the week, campers worked in small groups to build simple roller coasters with K’NEX. For the remaining days this week, campers will work to create more complex coasters in small groups.
At the end of the week, they will present a virtual coaster to parents and family. These campers have done a great job problem solving for issues as they figure out the challenging world of roller coaster design!
