The Traveling Science Show

Franklin1ESF and The Center for Growth and Innovation welcomed The Franklin Institute’s Traveling Science Show to camp this morning. As a portion of the Space & Rocketry’s Class instruction this week, the well-known science museum sent a representative of their own to teach campers more about what really happens in outer-space.

Franklin2Campers learned about the kinds of chemicals and particles that need to be in place in order to successfully launch an object, a well as how things like rockets survive in space. They learned the difference between gravity and microgravity and how the two make living and working in space a challenge for many modern-day astronauts. Every camper was excited to spend the morning with the Franklin Institute and were excited to learn about space!
